Today news papers are reporting that Police Chief Officer Michael Todd may have killed himself now that his affair with a businesswoman has been revealed. 

Michael was found face down in the snow yesterday and a post mortem has failed to pinpoint the cause of his death, however, it is suspected he died of hypothermia.  Todd’s waterproof jacket was missing and his clothes were in a mess as if he had fallen.

  His other belongings were found 300ft below the summit.  .  Mount Snowdon’s peak where he was found is the highest in England and Wales and is the county’s busiest tourist mountain.  In the minutes before he died he is thought to have sent a farewell text message to members of his family.

  His body was found at 3pm when a rescue team landed on the mountain.  Michaels work colleagues at Greater Manchester Police have opened an online book of condolence in comfort for his friends and family.
