Shannon Matthews, nine, never returned home on Friday 19 of February and there has been no sign of her since. She was last seen coming out from West moor Junior School in Dewsbury after a school swimming trip at about 3.45pm

Karen Matthews, 32 thinks the nine year old may have been taken by someone who intends to hurt her.

The daily record claims that Karen, a mother of seven said “The police have told us to prepare for the worst but we are not going to be doing that at the moment because we know she’s still out there somewhere. There is no trace of her swimming costume or towel or anything like that she took with her.”

Friends are reported to have said that Karen, after meeting with a medium, may have developed her theory told her Shannon was alive but was with someone known to both of them.

Karen again denies claims that her 22-year old boyfriend, Craig Meehan had a very difficult relationship with Shannon although many newspapers have reported that it is untrue.
