What do these activities aim to develop?

Many of our 'Determined to Succeed' activities don't take place in the classroom. That's because it's not a subject like English or Maths but involves taking part in workshops or exercises which aim to develop the following attitudes in our young people:

  • Confidence
  • Self esteem, self-awareness and self-motivation
  • A positive view of others and respect for others
  • Willingness to take a risk
  • Determination to Succeed
  • A sense of responsibility
  • Self reliance
  • A 'can do, will do' outlook in life

Activities in which our young people participate will relate to one or more of the following:

  • Development of enterprising attitudes and skills
  • Development of a knowledge and understanding of the world of work
  • Provision of an experience of an enterprise or entrepreneurial nature
  • Development of a young person's understanding of themselves
