Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education visit Monday 15th -Friday 19th March

The Headteacher, staff and pupils extend a warm welcome to our colleagues from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education.

Patricia Watson, Douglas Brown, Douglas Cairns, Donny Macleod, Aileen Monaghan, Anne Mulvenna, Ros' Sutherland, Shirley Beattie and Raymond Bennett will be in school between Monday 15th March and Friday 19th March. Any parents or members of the community who would like further information can follow this link or contact the Headteacher.

Mobile phones and other Technologies

Dundee City Council have recently updated their guidelines on the misuse of mobile technologies in schools.

Success Stories

S5/6 Stress Management Workshops

Our senior pupils took part in a Stress management event on Tuesday 9th March.  Pupils had the opportunity to attend 3 workshops of their choice from Yoga, Football, Boxercise, Beauty, Dance, Gym and Relaxation.

Heart Start

As part of the PSHE programme our S3 pupils are learning about emergency first aid, recovery position and CPR. Full story and photos here.

Cross Country Competition

Well done to the winners of the Baldragon Cross Country competition on Wednesday 3rd March. They were:

Discovering Degrees

On Thursday 4th March 12 pupils attended the ’Discovering Degrees’ Programme at Dundee University. For full story and photos click here.

Coffee Morning for Haiti

Following the Haiti earthquake the Modern Languages department took the opportunity to find out about Haiti and its french connection with their classes. S2 pupils expressed an interest in fundraising and so organised a coffee morning for staff. Full story and photos here.

London Trip

on Monday 8th February forty pupils from S3 – S6 traveled to London for another West End experience.  The three day trip enabled the pupils to participate in a wide range of educational activities which included performances of Sister Act and Billy Elliot as well as a backstage tour of the haunted Theatre Royal in Drury Lane. Giant Heptathlon winners 2010

14 S1 and S2 pupils were involved in a city-wide athletics competition at Lynch centre on the 2nd February 2010. Full story and photo here.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award
