S6 pupils win money for local charity

Four of our S6 pupils were successful in winning £3000 for the charity of their choice (Glenlaw House). The pupils were required to put together a presentation about the charity, including how the money would be used, what the charity focus is and the impact that it had on the group when they visited the facility.
Their presentation was then given in front of the rest of their year group and a panel of judges.  The winning group was made up of:  Scott Oswald, Holly Laing, Katie McCluskey and Heather Brand.  This work was undertaken as part of the schools' collaboration with the YPI (Youth and Philanthropy Initiative) and the Wood Foundation.  We look forward to continuing the partnership over the next session.

Well done to all those involved.
