Trip to Dalguise 2016
The trip was a great success, with the pupils all enjoying the new experiences and challenges over the two days. On the first day they were up early and on the bus by half pas seven in order to take part in full day of activities at the centre. The first day’s activities consisted of, Archery, Obstacle Course, Burn Walk and Raft Building. All the pupils mucked in and especially enjoyed building the raft, despite ending up in the water! In the evening after a lovely supper, they headed off to a campfire with the group leader, (no adult allowed!).
After a cooked breakfast, they started the second day with the Sensory Trail, which tested their ability to walk around a variety of obstacles whilst blindfolded. This turned out to be hilarious for obvious reasons. It was then time to learn bush craft skills, such as making a shelter and starting a fire. After lunch the pupils attempted the Jacob’s Ladder. A real team effort, which required lots of endeavour and courage. The final activity which they were all looking forward to was the Giant Swing. The day ended with another lovely meal before setting off home with a very exhausted but happy group of children. Click here to view the photos from the trip.
